The Standards
The Statement on Standards of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Programs (Standards) were developed by NASBA and the AICPA to promote quality in CPE courses. Compliance to these Standards is required to be a member of the National Registry and QAS.
Sponsor Requirements and Agreement
Approved members of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors must also comply with the Program Sponsor Requirements and sign a Sponsor Agreement approved by NASBA.
National Registry Logo and Statement Guidelines
Approved members of the National Registry of CPE Sponsors are authorized to display the official National Registry logo on supporting promotional and marketing materials. The logo is intended to be used as a badge to show the public an organization has an ongoing commitment to providing quality CPE programs. Proper use of the logo and accompanying language is a requirement of membership and is essential for consistent communications. Sponsors should use the National Registry Logo and Statement Guidelines as a reference when producing promotional materials.
Subject Areas
The CPE Fields of Study curriculum is divided into 23 subject matter areas. These subject areas represent the primary knowledge and skill areas needed by accounting licensees to perform professional services in all fields of employment as accepted by the State Boards of Accountancy.
