Art Kohn

Art KohnProfessor Art Kohn earned his Ph.D. from Duke University and he is an expert in learning, memory, and producing behavior change. His research shows how neurological, cognitive, and social factors can improve learning, retention and behavior change.  Dr. Kohn is consulting with Google helping them train more than 1 billion people. He is the author of numerous books and has produced more than 40 educational films.  He was voted National Professor of the Year and has won two Fulbright Fellowships. He also consults with corporations and organizations to improve teaching, maximize learning, and generate effective behavior change.

 

 

Ed Kelly

Ed KellyEd Kelly is a Business Development Manager at Blue Ocean Brain where he serves as the regulatory expert on Nano-learning as it relates to NASBA and AICIPA guidelines.  He monitors state-specific regulations around CPE and approval of Nano-learning.  Prior to Blue Ocean Brain, he spent time at both Ernst & Young and Deloitte in the healthcare industry specializing in finance and reimbursement-related issues, including, Medicare DSH Reimbursement, Medicare Wage Index and Pricing.

 

 

 

Tie Miller

Tie MillerAs manager of CPE Compliance for the AICPA and Association, Tie Miller is responsible for ensuring all CPE products and events comply with the Statement on Standards for NASBA and AICPA. She and her staff play a key role in the development and release of new CPE products and events designed by the Member Learning & Competency team. In April, Tie celebrated her 10-year anniversary with the AICPA. Prior to working on the Member Learning & Competency team, Tie worked in the Member Service Center which helped her build an understanding of the entire organization and the member experience. Outside the office, she is an avid jazz supporter, especially when her husband is on the saxophone and her three vivacious daughters are in the audience.

 

 

Lisa Anderson

Lisa AndersonLisa Anderson, PhD, is a Senior Manager in Digital Design & Development – Digital Learning Production Lead at PwC.  As a digital learning designer accomplished in design/development of performance support, instructor development, instructional tool kits, onshore and offshore workflow production and face-to-face training she has held senior roles in national organizations as an instructional designer, graphic designer, technical illustrator, simulation specialist, R&D POC, CEO of an educational consulting firm and college director of new media. She is skilled in instructional design, mobile learning, performance support, repurposable media assets, 3D simulations, animations/modeling, programming, interactive media, graphics/illustration, assessments and compliance. Her research focus is on tools to enhance learning and innovation in learning which she presented at national and international conferences and speaking engagements, including Training Conference, Masie Learning, AECT, EERA, SITE. Ms. Anderson has co-authored 5 books, written numerous papers and articles on these topics, and has won the ASTD OPAL award. She has been a past peer reviewer for national and international conferences and is an adjunct faculty at the University of South Florida.

Jennifer Kahnweiler

Jennifer KahnweilerJennifer B. Kahnweiler, Ph.D., Certified Speaking Professional, is a global speaker and bestselling author based in Atlanta, GA. She is hailed as the "Champion of Introverts." John Pytel

Jonathan Kraftchick

Jonathan KraftchickJonathan Kraftchick, CPA is a Managing Director with Cherry Bekaert where he is responsible for overseeing the Firm’s audit process, innovation and training. He is a frequent speaker around the US on accounting, auditing and ethics winning several discussion leader awards from numerous state accounting associations. Jonathan attended the University of Georgia studying theater before setting off to become an actor in 1998. Quickly realizing that waiting tables and begging for tips was not the career path he anticipated, he transferred to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received a degree in Economics before continuing on to their masters of accounting program. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Elon University in their accounting department and is currently on the Board of the North Carolina association of CPA’s.
