Summit Tools and Resources Showcase - Powtoon Simplifies the Creation of Videos and Presentations

01-Oct-2018

Powtoon logoDuring the Tools and Resources Showcase at the 2018 National Registry Summit, a panel of vendors offered innovative and engaging resources that can be used by sponsors to take learning to a higher level. Here are highlights from panelist Nick Leibman, Head of Content Marketing, from Powtoon.

Headquartered in London and founded by Ilya Spitalnik and Daniel Zaturansky in 2011, Powtoon is a company that sells cloud-based software for creating affordable, animated videos and presentations. Powtoon originated as an idea originally targeted to marketing/sales representatives and enterpreneuers, but soon a variety of professionals were developing content with the product. Did you know there is one Powtoon created every second of every day? Did you also know that Powtoon is routinely used by Fortune 500 companies to brighten internal communications?

Powtoon focuses on video to make meaningful connections with the audience.

Leibman emphasized the power of audio and video because historically humans have learned through face-to-face communication, interaction, connection and storytelling. Leibman further mused that “the camera has become the new keyboard.”

In speaking with sponsors, trainers identified several areas of frustration:

  • Time
  • Budget
  • Volume
  • Diversity
  • Metrics

The Powtoon tool works to address these areas of trainer frustration. Users of the product have access to animation, stock photos, templates, music and more. Users can upload images, add voiceover, create video, access tutorials/help centers and even hire a Powtoonist. There are a variety of platforms to choose from depending on company need, but Leibman described the “enterprise system” as having the most robust features.
