The 2025 National Registry Summit will be held in Anaheim, CA, from September 16-17!

The National Registry Summit provides sponsors with information on trends in professional education, emerging technologies, and resources to assist in the implementation of the Statement on Standards for CPE Programs (Standards) in an environment that encourages sharing and networking.   

The National Registry (Registry) team created a dynamic agenda that brings together leaders in the industry to share actionable insights and innovative strategies. Key sessions will include exploring the evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI) in learning, leading while prioritizing learning, legal insights in CPE regulation, unlocking best practices across multiple delivery methods, and understanding the Registry audit process.   

Multi-Generational Workforce.  Shrinking Financial Resources.  Mission Creep.  Silent Quitting.  AI Takeover.  These are topics attendees can expect to dive into during the conference. Every day, leaders who are responsible for preparing others to elevate their performance through training are battered with new obstacles to bring their message to the forefront.  Derek Young, a motivational speaker and corporate cultural strategist whose experience in leadership, strategy, diversity, equity and inclusion and performance management will discuss concepts like Living a Legacy, Protecting Your Energy, and Valuing Constructive Feedback during his keynote presentation.  

Attendees will also learn more about the evolving legal landscape of CPE in a session led by NASBA Deputy Chief Legal Officer Elizabeth Wolfe, Esq. Designed for sponsors and compliance leaders, this presentation offers a legal perspective on the rules that govern CPE and the implications every provider should understand. From emerging technologies to foundational legal principles, this session will equip attendees with the knowledge to stay compliant, forward-thinking, and ethically grounded in an increasingly complex educational environment.

This interactive experience will unpack common challenges, highlight delivery-specific best practices, and spotlight the National Registry’s Best Practices Library; all aimed at supporting excellence and compliance in CPE programs. 

Attendees will also gain first-hand insights from the National Registry of CPE Sponsors Compliance Auditor Lindsay Lane. This in-depth presentation will demystify the Registry’s Desk Audit Process, shedding light on what National Registry staff look for and the steps sponsors should take to stay audit ready. Whether individuals are preparing for their first audit or looking to refine internal processes, this session offers actionable guidance directly from the source. 

Breakout sessions will be offered - From AI prompts to deep dives into instructional design and a session for those new to the Registry, attendees will find practical knowledge to elevate their CPE game. 

The second day of the Summit will begin with keynote speaker, Josh Cavalier. This session will explore the integration of AI into accounting education. Attendees will gain insights into developing curricula that incorporate AI competencies, ensuring that future CPAs are prepared for the demands of the profession. The session will also highlight the importance of lifelong learning and adaptability in an era where technology and human expertise must coexist. National Registry staff will conclude the Summit with an update about the latest revisions to the Standards as well as a question-and-answer period.
