Course is aggressive in pace and broad in scope for this profitable, but unique segment of the natural gas production markets. It gives an overview of producer contracting issues, pricing issues, wholesale sales markets & products, and their relationship to refined product prices; processing margins; PTR & PVR nomination issues and balancing; CFTC price regulation & market oversight issues; tariff provisions & transportation rates & constraints. The course also examines the more recent issues of declining throughput for existing facilities; movement to line fill tariff provisions; and need for processing facilities for liquids produced from shale gas and gas pipeline capacity as a constraint on liquids prices. Intermediate level; one year energy prereq except for those involved directly in liquids segment.
