DOWNSTREAM OIL
This four-part, bite-sized course, will provide learners with a high-level view of the infrastructure,processes and risks involved in the transportation of oil from the point of production to end-user markets; the refining of crude oil; and the marketing and uses of petroleum products.
The learner will also gain an understanding of the economic and business drivers of the oil business.
• Recognise how oil is distributed globally and the fundamentals of oil economics
• Identify the main steps in the midstream oil-value chain
• Recognise the main steps in the downstream oil-value chain, from refining to end-distribution.
