Group Internet Based: Reporting

Small Group Viewing of Group Internet Based Program

For Group Internet Based programs, firms who wish to view the event as a group may maintain a group sign-in sheet documenting all participants. The group sign-in sheet can then be submitted to the CPE provider for CPE certificate issuance. The CPE provider should maintain the firm’s sign-in sheet as evidence of attendance in their CPE certificate files.

Certificate of Completion

Regarding whether two organizations’ name can appear on a certificate of completion, the certificate must clearly delineate the sponsor and their sponsorship identification number of the organization that is awarding CPE credit as part of their Registry membership. A certificate of completion must clearly identify the sponsor’s name and address.

Field of Study Classification

Sponsors are required to assign the appropriate field(s) of study to their programs. The selected field(s) of study may or may not align with the specified fields of study utilized by any given accountancy board. This can result in a sponsor receiving inquiries into the appropriate field(s) of study for accountancy board reporting purposes. In these situations, sponsors may choose to provide insight into the most appropriate field(s) of study for board reporting purposes, but this advice should always include the reminder that the program sponsor has no authority to represent the board of accountancy.
